Hope everyone has had a lovely holiday season! I've taken a little break from the blogging sphere but am excited for the new year and what's to come. Since starting this blog in the beginning of this year, it has been fun to discover and refine my personal style. Be sure to follow on Bloglovin', Facebook, GFC, Instagram or Pinterest to keep up with my weekly style picks and outfits!
This is the first time I've worn this skirt and I think I'm growing particularly fond of the light fabric and how it catches the wind so perfectly. It's description would be along the lines of a high-low hem or mullet skirt as termed via high fashion taste makers. The bold statement earrings were the perfect finish to this somewhat simple look.
It's autumn, it has been for a while but it has just been settling in for me as of late, especially with the weather. These photos were all taken today but the ever changing weather has brought rain, shine and clouds in very short time periods. I also just got this tweed skirt and planned to wear it with a sleeveless peplum top but I decided chambray would dress it down just this once.

Sweaters are definitely a quintessential item for these colder months of the year, but it doesn't mean that the colors have to be muted and boring. These vibrant picks are sure to add a daily dose of fun to this festive season.
Not every person would think this look is out of the box, but a year ago I would have had the mindset that this was a "daring" look. Since creating this blog early this year I was very much a "safe" dresser, I didn't try anything too far from the ordinary and was seemingly hesitant about the idea. Now I can say that I've mixed prints, have worn more color and have tried to have more of an appreciation that clothing can "go-together" instead of matching perfectly. This look is slightly a farther departure from my ordinary and I love looking back on this blog as I've slowly refined my style.
Peplum, it's definitely been on trend since it's exposure on the fashion scene but I have to admit that I have yet to try it. Here are a few budget friendly picks that have inspired me to try peplum out pretty soon, all under $50!
It seems like the more I wear these darn boyfriend jeans, the comfier and comfier they get. I've managed to style them every which way I possibly can (also here) just in the past two weeks since I got them. I keep pulling them on in the morning without realizing till I'm out the door thinking, "Didn't I just wear these?!?" What clothing item have you put on repeat as of late?
I have a completely obsessive adoration for stripes as of late. The print always works from a casual look to being all dressed up. And for some odd reason navy stripes always make me feel like I should set sail, somewhere nice and warm, in my dreams at least.

Red pants (last seen here) or any colored pants for that matter will always add just a little or a lot of interest to any outfit. It's the pop of color that makes the look less boring and more adventurous.

One of the impeccable personal styles that I've come to admire. She is both feminine and polished, as I've chosen more black palette ensembles to show the chic nature of the pairings. She makes the darkest tone more high fashion than somber.
